You're in good company
Few charities have trained their people yet. Small, regular habits help.
Charities that gave staff or volunteers any cyber security training or awareness sessions in the last 12 months. GOV.UK Cyber security breaches survey 2025/2026.
In the same year, 28% of charities spotted a cyber breach or attack, and phishing was the most common.

Less work, not more
What a week looks like
Volunteers give their time, and staff are stretched. We built this to fit around the work, not add to it.

Whoever leads it
Under an hour a week to see progress and pick the next fix.
All the time
Every step is dated and logged. Your evidence report is ready for your trustee board in one click.
Why it sticks
Once a year, or a little every week?
Many charities rely on one session a year, or none at all. Here's how a little every week compares.
| Question | Annual training | CyberSafe Coach |
|---|---|---|
| How often | Once a year | A little every week |
| How long | 30 minutes to an hour in one sitting | 10 to 15 minutes |
| Who it reaches | Usually paid staff | Staff, volunteers and trustees |
| New scams and AI fakes | Updated once a year | New alerts as new scams appear |
| Proof for funders, trustees and insurers | A completion certificate | A dated record of every step, and an evidence report |
| Price | Per person | Free for eligible charities, or £35 a month for up to 50 |
“Consistent small messages are more digestible and more effective than an hour session once a year.”
How we compare
Compared with other charity training
There's good free advice for charities, but most of it is one-off, with nothing to show afterwards. CyberSafe Coach keeps the learning going every week, includes volunteers and trustees, and keeps a record you can show.

Prices and details from each provider's own website, checked on 17 October 2026.
| Provider | Price | Who it's for | How it's delivered | Record you can show |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CyberSafe Coach | Free for eligible charities (all staff and volunteers), or £35 a month for up to 50 people | Staff, volunteers and trustees | 10 to 15 minutes a week, all year | A dated record and evidence report |
| NCSC Top Tips for Staff | Free | Staff and volunteers of small organisations | One e-learning course, under 30 minutes | None built in |
| Cyber Resilience Centre for the North West, Cyber PATH | Included with centre membership | Small organisations in the North West | Group session for teams under 10 | A handout |
| Get Safe Online | Free | Businesses, charities and the public | Advice articles and videos | None |
| KnowBe4 | From £1.85 per person a month, 3-year term. Non-profit discounts on request | Teams of 25 or more | Training library and phishing simulations | Admin reports |
The NCSC's guidance for charities and free training aren't rivals. They're a great start, and CyberSafe Coach keeps the learning going every week and records it.
