    What you get

    What changes, across your council

    • Staff

One 10 to 15 minute step a week, on a phone or computer. Plain English, for people who don't work in IT.

    • Managers

See where each team stands and who may need a hand, without checking up on anyone. Under an hour a week.

    • Information governance

Saved checks against Cyber Essentials, the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and ISO 27001, so you can see where you're strongest and where to look next.

    • Children's services and children's homes

The weekly online safety alert, with a note for parents and carers and a talking point for young people.

    • Safeguarding teams

Checks against Working Together, the Prevent duty and Safer Recruitment, and a private place to log online safety concerns.

    Less work, not more

    What a week looks like

Council teams are stretched. We built this to fit around the work, not add to it.

    1. Start of the week

The one fix for the week is waiting. Teams working with children also get the online safety alert.

    2. Any day

Each member of staff does one 10 to 15 minute step, when it suits them.

    3. Managers

Under an hour a week to see each team's progress and pick the next fix.

    4. All the time

Every step is dated and logged, so the record is ready for audit and inspection.

    Why it sticks

Once a year, or a little every week?

Many councils rely on one mandatory course a year. Here's how a little every week compares.

    How we compare

    Compared with other council training

Councils have strong free support for cyber resilience, and big platforms priced per person. CyberSafe Coach adds a little learning every week for every team, with online safety and safeguarding alongside cyber security, and a record by team.

The LGA's Cyber, Digital and Technology programme and the Cyber Assessment Framework for local government aren't rivals. They support your IT and security teams, and CyberSafe Coach keeps every member of staff learning each week and records it.
